Former Miss India Worldwide, Aarti Chhabria has been chosen as the new face of IPL cricket for its second year. She's very excited by the development: "I'm totally fascinated by the game. Over the years, the game of cricket has changed. I would call it cricket-cum-entertainment now, or cricketainment." Aarti is having to make a lot of changes in her style as she moves from being Bollywood actress on the big screen to Sports-host on the small screen and is having to rapidly develop a new set of skills. What made her choose to get involved? "The basic reason that I agreed to do this was because the image of cricket has changed. The opportunity was a good one. I'll be hosting the show from October 10, along with former cricketer Atul Wassan. The show will be about cricket, but I will be concentrating my role more as the host of the show and will not get involved in the technicalities of the game." Aarti's Bollywood career encompasses movies such as Shaadi No.1, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Partner and Heyy Baby. "For me, this will be a very big challenge. Sunny, Bobby again play brothers in 'Heroes'

After "Dillagi" and "Apne", real life brothers Sunny and Bobby Deol are back playing reel life siblings in Samir Karnik's episodic flick "Heroes".
The film is about an India tour involving three stories. While one story features Salman Khan and Preity Zinta, another brings together the odd pair of Mithun Chakraborty and Dino Morea.
And the third episode that has been kept under wraps brings together the real-life brothers Sunny and Bobby.
Karnik and Bobby teamed up for "Nanhe Jaisalmer". But this is Karnik's first film with Sunny.
However, from the sensitive "Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee" to the hard-hitting "Darna Zaroori Hai" to "Salaam-e-Ishq" - the films telling various segmented stories in an assorted bouquet - have crashed unceremoniously.
The only episodic film that did well at the box office is "Life... In a Metro".
Preity is positive about "Heroes" and said: "You watch, 'Heroes' will change the course of episodic films. I've just 20 minutes of playing time with Salman. But whatever we have, we had a blast shooting it."

Prithviraj in ” Nandanam” -Tamil Remake.

Director Ranjith's Malayalam super hit Nandanam (2002), which was the debut film of both Prithviraj and Navya Nair, will soon be remade in Tamil by Ranjith himself. This will be the Tamil directorial debut of Ranjith, who was recently in the news for making Prithviraj-starrer Thirakkatha, reportedly a romantic film based on the life of late actress Srividya. Produced by veteran producer Shogun Mohan, the Tamil version of Nandanam will have Prithviraj reprising his original role; it is most likely that Priyamani will be his heroine in this musical love story. The surprise element is a cameo by Dhanush as a human avatar of Lord Krishna. The Tamil screenplay is being written by writer-director Viji, who wrote the screenplay of Mozhi and also wrote and directed Vellithirai. The shooting will start in January 2009, after Prithviraj and Priyamani complete the shooting of Mani Ratnam’s Ravana.

An unfortunate incident in 'Krishnaleelai' shoot

‘Krishnaleelai’ directed by Selvan, stars Jeevan and Meghna in the lead roles.
An unfortunate incident happened when the shooting for the film was going on in the location of Super Good White house in Saligramam, Chennai. A scene involving Karunas, Ganja Karupu, Sarath Babu, Jeevan and Meghna was being shot. As the scene next to it demanded to be shot from a crane, an operator was bringing it to the required spot on the location.
Unexpectedly, as the crane fell down while was being moved on the jagged spots of the way, the operator Karunakaran got severely injured and was rushed right away to a nearby hospital in Vadapalani, by the director and other members of the crew and now he is undergoing medical treatment.
Shooting for the film was postponed for some hours later following this incident.

Pyramid Saimira plans to invest Rs 200 crores

In the next 18 months Pyramid Saimira Theatre plans to invest Rs 200 crores to modernise 250 theatres. This is across the four southern states, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

The renovation will start with Jyothi Theatre in Tamil Nadu which seats 550.

The title of Mani Ratnam's film

It is well known that Mani Ratnam is producing his next film simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil. The story of Ramayana is the basis of this film.
The title of the film in Hindi is 'Ravanan' and 'Asokavanam' in Tamil. According to the epic, Ravanan abducted Seetha and imprisoned her in Asokavanam.
In Hindi the role made after Ravana will be done by Vikram. Prithviraj will do the same role in Tamil.

The role of Hanuman will be done by Govinda in Hindi. Abhishek Bachchan will do the role of Rama and Ashwarya as Seetha in Hindi.Vikram will do the role of Rama in Tamil.

Run the torture ‘Race’ all over again!

‘Race’ was one of the first surprise blockbuster hits of the year. And that has made the makers over enthusiastic. So much so that they are set to make a sequel to the same!
Can’t blame them fully too! After all, it’s the viewers who make super confusing ( thanks to far too many twists, turns, climaxes and anti climaxes) and bizarre thrillers like that hits!
After the movie made money, Ramesh Taurani of TIPS had announced his plan to make the sequel with Abbas-Mastan as its director. Now Saif Ali Khan has confirmed his participation in the sequel and that makes the plan more concrete.
Saif’s desperation to make the sequel is understandable, since after ‘Race’ both his big Yash Raj movies ‘Tashan’ and ‘Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic’ failed miserably at the BO!
Bipasha Basu, Sameera Reddy and Anil Kapoor are likely to be considered. But nothing has been confirmed yet. But Katrina Kaif and Akshaye Khanna’s inclusion is ruled out since their characters died in the climax of the film. Instead two new actors are likely to be signed on. So the mad race is on. Time to run for cover, all you sane people out there!

‘Parthan’, ‘Gulmohur’ releases

Jayaram's long pending movie 'Parthan Kanda Paralokam' got released today in 36 centers. The movie which was completed by February was waiting for the right time to get into theatres.

Long enmeshed with clearance problems from labs due to some financial difficulties, the recent popularity of Jayaram after the super hit of ‘Veruthe Oru Bharya', prompted the producers to take a calculated risk to anyhow present the movie for the season.

The movie with Mukesh and all the comedy team of Mollywood is planned as a hilarious entertainer by the director Anil.

Also opening in the theatres today is 'Gulmohur' directed by award winning filmmaker Jayaraj. A low key release, the movie opened only in 12 centers all across Kerala. Director Renjith is appearing in the lead of this movie as a former naxalite. The preview shows of the film have already garnered the best reviews from all over Kerala.

Nagarjuna’s ‘King’ in Ooty

Hero Nagarjuna’s latest film ‘King’ has finished 60% of its shooting. Srinu Vaitla is the director and Sivaprasad Reddy is producing the film on Kamakshi Kala Movies banner. Trisha and Mamatha Mohandas are the heroines and Srihari is playing an important role in the film. In this film Nagarjuna is likely to be appearing as a young Industrialist, Credit card agent and a Dada.
Producer D. Sivaprasad Reddy said: "A song and chase sequence will be shot in Ooty from 27th September to October 4th. The film unit will be in Bangalore for another schedule from 5th October to 4th November. The remaining songs of the film will be shot in Turkey and Dubai. We are preparing to release the film on 18th December.
The technical crew includes: Music: Devi Sri Prasad, Stunts: Ram-Lakshman, Story: Kona Venkat & Gopi Mohan, Dialogues: BVS Ravi, Lyrics: Sahit and Ram Jogayya Sastry.

Hansika Motwani who acted as heroine in Desamuduru and Kantri movies is now all set to do an item number in Prabhas next film. This yet to be named Prabhas film is being directed by Meher Ramesh and is being produced by Krishnam Raju on Gopi Krishna Movies banner.
Hansika is doing this item number on the request of director Meher Ramesh who directed her earlier film Kantri. She is going to do the role of Jayamalini in a re-mix version of “Naa paruvam…”
This Prabhas film is actually a remake of yester year telugu film Yugandhar and recent tamil film Billa. Prabhas plays the role of Yugandgar in the new film while Anushka will play the lead heroine

Genelia D´Souza, Imran Khan´s petite and perky co-star in ´Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na´, brushes off rumours of any relationship with Riteish Deshmukh with a "we´re just friends."
Genelia teamed up with Riteish for her first Hindi film ´Tujhe Meri Kasam´ and they were seen together once again in ´Masti´. While ´Tujhe Meri Kasam´ bit the dust at the box office, ´Masti´ hit bull´s eye. But the film´s success didn´t help much in shaping her career.

"I´m very much single. Riteish is a friend. But that´s it. I´ve no idea where these rumours come from. We´re both very busy. When we occasionally meet up, we´re normal with each other, not the least self-conscious about what´s written about us. I´m very new to all this. I´ve done two films with Riteish - ´Tujhe Meri Kasam´ and ´Masti´," Genelia told us.

The actress forayed into showbiz with Amitabh Bachchan as her co-star.

"I did a Parker pen ad with him when I was still a kid. It seems I´ve been acting forever. I started young, yes. In 2003, I had three releases in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Strangely acting was never an option. That ad was directed by Mansoor Khan. He kept me in mind for ´Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na´, and here I am," she said.

"Actually ´Jaane Tu...´ was being produced by Jhamu Sugandh first. That´s when I screen tested for the role of Aditi. I met the director Abbas Tyrewala and he almost finalised me. But he needed bulk dates from me and I was busy down South. He wanted to shoot at a stretch. I couldn´t do that.

"Then one day I got a call from Aamir Khan´s office. Abbas wanted a complete newcomer. But Aamir wanted a girl who suited the character. The next thing I knew, I was on board."

Genelia said she was never that keen on an acting career.

"But when I saw how I was appreciated down South, I fell in love with the industry. I´ve been lucky. I didn´t plan anything. I´ve never contacted a single producer. So far it´s been an awesome journey."

After Tamil and Telugu, Genelia has just made her debut in a Kannada film.

"I´m sure I´ll be able to dub in all the South Indian languages soon. I know I can do it. I just need to get the slangs and colloquialisms correct. Honestly, I need to dub my own lines in the South to give complete performances."

Like Asin, Genelia is now dividing her time between Bollywood and the South.

"I´m getting a lot of calls in Mumbai. I want to balance it out. But the priority would be Hindi films right now because I´ve worked really long in the South. But my South Indian films are also very important.

"I get very satisfying roles in Tamil and Telugu. And I can´t let them go. Let´s just say I´ll do one film down South for every two films I do here. In any case, they wrap up their films superfast down South.

"I also had fun doing Priyadarshan´s ´Mere Baap Pehle Aap´. I enjoy doing films in all languages and genres."

She said that her commitment to southern directors affected her Bollywood career.

"I got busy with the South; that´s the only reason why it took me so long to get noticed in Bollywood. There´s a buzz about ´Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na´ because it was Imran´s debut film."

Right now she is busy shooting for ´It´s My Life´ with Harman Baweja. It is a Hindi remake of Telugu hit, ´Bommarilu´.

"I´ve done the original in Telugu. Then I also did the remake in Tamil. Now I´m doing it in Hindi. The Tamil and Telugu versions were similar. But the Hindi version is very different. Today, both the South and Hindi are high-potential industries for me. I´m still a newcomer in Bollywood."

I would like to act with Suriya- Mandira Bedi

Mandira Bedi, who was in Chennai recently, said that she wanted to share the screen space with Suirya. "I would like to act with Suriya. I watched the film 'Khaakka Khaakka' and just loved it," she said.
On not acting in Tamil films after her cameo in 'Manmadhan', the first lady of Indian cricket said, 'I have got many offers. However, I want to do films that excite me and not every movie that comes my way.'

Sanjay Dutt plays ‘Sattarbhai’, a bully who collects loan instalments from bank debtors, in his forthcoming film ‘EMI’. The character has been inspired by a real-life collecting agent and the Bollywood actor spent a lot of time with him to get his act right.’Sanju sir’s character is modelled on a real-life agent. In fact, the whole film’s plot about all these debt collectors who have the thankless job of getting bank loans back from debtors was inspired by the real-life Sattarbhai,’ said TV tsarina Ekta Kapoor, who is co-producing the film with Suniel Shetty.The real-life character’s identity is, however, being kept a secret right now.
Said Suniel Shetty: ‘We don’t want the real Sattarbhai to come into the picture until Sanju baba’s fictional avatar is properly unveiled to the public.’ Sanjay Dutt met, interacted with and studied the real-life Sattarbhai very closely to get into the skin of the character. And he was glad that he wasn’t playing an underworld gangster yet again.’This is my most seriously funny and socially relevant character since Munnabhai. Gautam Menon set to direct Ajith

We all know that Ajith's 'Aegan' is set for a Deepavali release. But, the question that lingers is, what's the next venture of the ultimate star? Talks and buzzes are going around that Ajith has joined hands for the first time with Gautham Vasudevan Menon for Sivaji Productions.
Ajith will don the role of a gangster, which he's poise in doing after 'Billa' and Sameera Reddy has been roped in to play the role of his girl friend. As usual, Gautham's Chief Marksman Harris will score the music. Nirav Shah, the man behind the grand looks of 'Billa', will wield the camera once again for this flick.
Director Gautham has suggested an attractive title 'Surangani' for the film. But the same title has been registered for another film which is under production. Sivaji Productions is currently making negotiations with the producers to acquire the same, catchy title.
The film will go to the floors in November and is slated to be released on April 14, 2009.

The magical combination of Shankar and Superstar is ready to rock with Endhiran-Robot. The camera started rolling with the shooting of a song sequence. The most expected pair Rajanikanth and Aiswarya Rai joined the shoot in the picturesque locales of PERU. Here are some exclusive stills taken while filming Endhiran. Vijay's 50th Film "Vettaikaran"

Actor Vijay is all set to become the hunter in his next movie Vettaikarran, which he is expected to star after the completion of his current movie Villu. The film is being produced by M. Balasubramanian and B.Gurunath Meiyappan.

Remember K T Kunjumon. He was the sought-after producer in Tamil until a few years ago.
Having introduced director Shankar in ‘Gentleman’, Kunjumon holds the record for producing several big budgeted movies one-after-another. ‘Suryan’, ‘Gentleman’, ‘Kadhalan’, ‘Ratchagan’ and ‘Sakthi’ were produced by Kunjumon.
After a big gap, Kunjumon is back in Tamil cinema to produce movies. He would be churning out a movie to be directed by Balaji.

Kurukshetra releases on October 1st

Mohanlal’s much-anticipated Kurukshetra will be released on the first of October, according latest reports. The film, produced by Major Ravi, is based on the low intensity Kargil war between India and Pakistan.
The film will have its release in 70 centres all across Kerala. As Kurukshetra was based on the Kargil war needed clearance from the Defence Ministry which it obtained last week. The film is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly-awaited films and apart from Mohanlal, it features a large number of well-known artists as supporting cast. Shot completely in the locations of Kargil, Leh and nearby regions, the film is expected to portray a realistic picture of the war and is hoped to bring in good collections.
Major Ravi is a former Indian Army officer and recipient of the President’s medal. After spending nearly two decades in the army, he became a consultant for war-based movies and has worked with the likes of Priyadarshan, Rajkumar Santoshi and Mani Ratnam. After making a few children’s films, he ventured into feature films with Keerthichakra (featuring Mohanlal), a multilingual movie about Kashmir militancy. After Kurukshetra, Major Ravi is said to be contemplating a movie based on the Kandahar plane hijack which will feature Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan together for the first time.

Actor Madhu on 75

Madhu, the legendary actor who immortalized the character Pareekkutty of Chemmeen (1965), the first-ever Malayalam movie to win the President's Gold Medal for the Best Film, celebrates his 75th birthday on Tuesday.

Madhu, known for his simplicity and honesty, was born as Madhavan Nair on September 23, 1933. After completing his post-graduation in Hindi and Malayalam, Madhu started his career as a Hindi lecturer in Scott Christian College, Nagercoil at the behest of his father R. Parameswaran Pillai, Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram. However, Madhu later joined National School of Drama in 1949 to become an actor.
While studying at the NSD, he chanced to meet director Ramu Kariat, who offered a role as a youngster in Moodupadam, starring Sathyan as the hero. Ramu asked him to go to Madras and meet R.S. Prabu at Chandratara studio for a makeup test. When he met R.S. Prabu, he was taken to the set of Ninamaninja Kalpadukal, directed by N.N. Pisharady and produced by Sobhana Parameswaran Nair. The following day, Parameswaran Nair unexpectedly offered Madhu a role in Ninamaninja Kalpadukal (1963), which turned to be his debut movie in an acting career spanning more than four decades.
A few films later, Madhu established himself as an actor with Bhargavi Nilayam, the directorial debut of A. Vincent. The screen name 'Madhu' was given by Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair, another famous Malayalam actor.
The milestone in his career was the all-time hit, Chemmeen. However, his initial years were full of struggle as Madhu entered Malayalam cinema while Prem Nazir and Sathyan, two great stars, were ruling the roost. Later, Madhu created his own place in Malayalam with his outstanding performances in films like Eenipadikal, Thulabharam, Theekkanal, Swayamvaram and Oolavum Theeravum.
Later, he distinguished himself as producer, director and storywriter. He opened a studio in Thiruvananthapuram and went on to produce and direct films that showcased his skills as a sensitive director. Madhu’s directorial debut was Priya (1969) in which he also played the first anti-hero of Malayalam cinema. He directed about 14 films, including the superhit Theekkanal and produced several films, including Asthamayam, Njan Ekananu, Archana Teacher and Mini, a children's film which won the National Award in 1995.
Madhu was lucky to pursue his profession with many generations like Sukumaran-Soman, Mammootty-Mohanlal, Jayaram and Dileep. In his acting career, Madhu has acted in over 300 films so far.
Madhu was never an aspirant of awards; he even declined the chairmanship of Film Development Corporation. He won Kerala state's special Jury Award in 1980 and J.C. Daniel Award in 2004. Getting in her for one of his production titled ‘Andhapuratthu Veedu’, she was happy about and Nanda was paired up with her in the lead role. The film directed by one of the Shankar’s assistant Naaga brimmed up a suspense-thriller. Photo session for the film was held recently involving Nanda and Meera Jasmine. But, as the shooting commenced, Meera Jasmine had her trickeries against the entire team by not giving proper shooting schedules. Finally, Shankar has eliminated her out of this project and discussions are going on to rope in another leading actress.

Shreya Saran of "Shivaji: The Boss" fame is in trouble over her Hollywood assignments. The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) plans to take action against the actress for ignoring actor Dhanush starrer project for her foreign assignments.Shreya took an advance from producer Murugesan to star opposite Dhanush, son-in-law of Rajnikant. She was supposed to start working on the film after finishing a shooting schedule for Gemini Films with the same actor, sources from the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) said."The action is being taken after Murugesan's complaint, endorsed by his director Vetrimaran. Its terms have been communicated to Shreya," the source added.Shreya has denied the charges.According to sources close to Shreya, she deposited the undisclosed fee for the untitled Murugesan film with the South Indian Artistes Association (SIAA) pointing out she is busy with Hollywood commitments - "The Other End Of The Line" produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and the post-production schedule of "What's Cooking Stella?" being directed by Canada-based director Deepa Mehta and her brother Dilip.Shreya is reportedly stumped over the whisper campaign against her in the south Indian film industry.Shreya hit the bull's eye when she was cast opposite Tamil superstar Rajnikant in "Sivaji, The Boss" (2006). The film directed by Shankar broke all box office records.Shreya's current Indian assignments include "Kandaswamy", K.S. Ravi Kumar's "Jaggubhai" and "Marmayogi" opposite Vikram and it also stars actor-turned-politician Sarath Kumar and thespian Kamal Haasan. "All her major Tamil projects will get into trouble if TFPC takes action against her," an industry source added.

"Lal" comes back as a Director

Lal, more popularly known as Lal of the Siddique-Lal duo, had stopped directing movies a few years back, after having directed some blockbusters with his friend Siddique. Though Siddique continued directing movies, Lal moved on to producing and distributing movies and also acting. Reports say that Lal is set to take to directing once again. His comeback film as a director is reportedly going to be a sequel to 'In Harihar Nagar', the Siddique-Lal directed laugh riot that rocked theatres way back in 1990. It's heard that Lal, who would also be producing the film under the banner of Lal Creations, will be directing the movie independently. Confirmation about the project and more details about the cast and crew are awaited.

Salim Kumar back as hero in “Light”.

After five years from ‘Achanurangaata Veedu’, Salim Kumar is back as the hero in the new film titled 'Light’. Salim Kumar has surprised everyone, playing the lead role in the Lal Jose movie 'Achanurngatha Veedu' . Thereafter many producers and directors have approached Salimkumar to do the title roles in their films but Salimkumar resisted the attempts and continued in his helm of activity as the most demanded comedy actor of the times. He will be appearing as Raman Parayan, who later turns out as a communist following his bonding with a communist leader who lived in hideouts. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has now become the highest earner in the history of Malayalam cinema with a pay cheque of Rs 4 Crore for his new film.

Nair Chan’ is the name of the new film that he is going to star in. Mammooty is stuck with his much delayed ‘Pazasshiraja’, which also happens to be the story of india’s first freedom fighter. Now, Mohanlal is starring in a similar role.

Eros International and Star TV have entered in to a multi-film content licensing deal. The deal paves way for Star TV to select from the 1900 films that are owned by the Eros International. This Onam is going to be different for Prithviraj, the fast emerging star of South Indian cinema. While he gets ready to play a key role in Mani Rathinam's next film, the big news is that it's going to be a double bonanza for him this Onam. The season will witness back-to-back releases of two Prithviraj-starrers in Malayalam - Thirakatha and Thalappavu.Thalappavu, which is actor Madhupal's debut directorial venture, is a very sensitive film that speaks of the friendship shared between a naxalite youth and a policeman. While Prithviraj plays the naxalite youth named Joseph, Lal plays the cop named Raveendran Pillai. Run Gopala Run

Dileep's Run Gopala Run, in which he is acting as an independent hero after the disappointing Mulla, will start shooting in the first week of September. The film, by young director Deepu Karunakaran, had run into a lot of problems right after its announcement in in March. The film was first set to start shooting in July, but because of date problems due to the Thulasidas issue (which ended in the splitting up of MACTA), it was postponed to August. Again in August, Dileep got busy with the final schedule of Twenty:20 and according to latest news, the film will start shooting on September 3rd.Meanwhile, director Deepu has been on the lookout for a heroine, reportedly considering a few established faces in the industry. Now it is heard that he has set his eyes on the beautiful Sneha who has agreed to act in Run Gopala Run. This will be the first time where Sneha is paired with Dileep. Mohan Lal in "Kurushethra"

Mohanlal and Major Ravi, who teamed up very successfully in Keerthichakra, are once again coming together in Kurushethra, obviously based on first hand experiences of the director, who had earlier been a major with the Indian army.
'Kurushethra', a big budgeted flick based on the kagil wars will be produced by Santhosh Damodaran under the banner of Damor Films. Kurushethra is going to be Major Ravi's third film, after Keerthichakra and Mission 90 Days, and it is hoped that the Major would come up once again with a hit like Keerthichakra, and not a flop like Mission 90 Days.

Siddhique movie to start next month

After a not so encouraging Box Office results of his latest Tamil movie 'Sadhu Miranda', Siddhique is planning to start his new movie in Malayalam by next month. The movie which will feature Dileep for the first time in the lead of a Siddhique, will be produced by Johny Sagariga. As usual with the Siddhique movies, this too will be a family based hilarious entertainer.The movie will be another eagerly awaited one by Dileep's fans who is waiting for a long time for a perfect commercial movie that will hit the masses. Siddhique too has been away from Malayalam for along five years, the last movie being the hit Mammootty film 'Chronic Bachelor'.Siddhique is in the view that poor marketing was one of the reasons for his tamil movie 'Sadhu Miranda' not performing up to their expectations at the box office. Even though the film loosely based on "Mannar Mathai Speaking" brought in good word of mouth, it was not able to maintain a racy initial due to a rather worse marketing techniques.

Will Pazhashiraja be released?

When scriptwriter MT Vasudevan Nair and director Hariharan launched 'Pazashiraja', they were serious about getting it ready for release by April 2008. But it looks as if misery and delays are constantly plaguing the film. Mammootty,Suman, Kanika, Sharat Kumar and others form the cast list of this impressive project. This was going to be the most expensive film in the history of Malayalm cinema with a budget of Rs 7 Crores. But constant delays kept happening from the very beginning. It was always very difficult to get the callsheets of the stars. Since most of the film had to be shot outdoors, the shooting came to a grinding halt due to heavy rains.Recently, the owner of the palace in which the film was being shot, passed away. This brought the shooting to another grinding halt. Each day the film's shooting gets delayed, the producer ends up losing lakhs of rupees for no reason at all, in terms of hiring costs and interest on the money that he had borrowed. With most parts of the film yet to be shot, it looks highly unlikely that the film would be ready for release this summer.
